@Thierry, wdyt of: :Rpmdrake is a urpmi-based package management tool" ?

I'm not Thierry, of course, but if so it should be "...is an urpmi..."
Actually, "a" sounds better to my ear, because urpmi is pronounced u-r-p-m-i, and not "urp-mee". In the latter case, "an" would sound more natural. In my last job, we had a similar issue. Our bug-tracker was called SUR for "System Usage Reporting" (think about that for a minute :-) ). Some of us pronounced the word and said "a soor", and others of us spelled it out and said "an s-u-r".

AFAIK, it depends on how the word/letter is pronounced, so it's: A One because 'one' is pronounced \ËwÉn\, so the first letter is a vowel 'o' but pronounced as 'w', so it's 'a' and not 'an'. So it's: 'an umbrella' and 'a U-turn'.
To comment #3 (Frank Griffin): aye if that is common pronunciation, than of course it is ...a u.r.p.m.i..., but I hadn't expected that: in my mind it has always been lodged that it sounds as "urp-mee" but based purely on assumptions: I rarely speak urpmi based distro users face to face...

It's surprising how common this is when people don't actually hear words spoken. I don't really know for a fact that it *isn't* "urp-mee", I've just never thought of it that way. Throughout my childhood, I loved C. S. Lewis' "Chronicles of Narnia", but for some reason I originally saw the word as "Narina" and since I never heard anyone else pronounce it, that was how I said it until they started to make the films.
Valid for Beta 2
The actual issue it that Mandriva was replaced by Mageia without fixing the pos which resulting in fuzzying the translations when updating po files...
