I don't see the need to differ from upstream; patch seems weird. Asked upstream and they agree: https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=669881
I will look into it, that patch was - as most - originally imported from Mandriva.
Hi, This bug was filed against cauldron, but we do not have cauldron at the moment. Please report whether this bug is still valid for Mageia 2. Thanks :) Cheers, marja

Actually if upstream thinks, it's a bad Idea, we should drop it. By the way, I only took dia maintainership at that time, because I used it and it was unmaintained. Since I don't use it anymore right now, you wanna have it? You are the GNOME guy after all...
Marja: Cauldron only. Behaviour change, so better not to push to Mageia 2.. also not really a bug. Oliver: I'd like more help with GNOME stuff though. I also don't use Dia. Anyway, feel free to mark as nobody, and I'll put myself as maintainer. Going to push update to Cauldron to drop the patch.

Olav: I'm not using GNOME and I do dislike it (not the single applications - I prefer some of them over KDE or DE independant ones - but the desktop as a whole) passionately. So I can't help you on GNOME... Maintainership of dia set to nobody.
