Description Luc Menut 2012-02-08 23:25:53 CET
Description of problem:
Firefox currently embeds these own hyphenation dictionaries, in omni.ja.
(Thunderbird and xulrunner embed hyphenation dictionaries too)
It should use system hyphenation dictionaries installed in /usr/share/hyphen (like it is done for myspell|hunspell dictionaries); it would save some space on install media, and on installed system.

unzip -l /usr/lib(64)/firefox-10.0/omni.ja |grep hyphenation

Hi,

This bug was filed against cauldron, but we do not have cauldron at the moment.

Please report whether this bug is still valid for Mageia 2.

Thanks :)

Cheers,
marja

This is really not easy to do and nothing has been done in the past 4 years regarding this bug so I'm closing it as WONTFIX. Feel free to reopen if you really want it to stay open but it would probably be better to discuss it on the dev@ mailing list first in that case.
