Description Chris Denice 2012-02-07 10:55:03 CET
Description of problem:

After a fresh boot, no keyboard are detected once the login screen appears, numlock touch does not even blink.

The mouse is there though, such that I can restart the X server but this still does nothing.

If I kill the X server and do a console login, then keyboard is back again. Then, I restart the "dm" service, which now appears on tty7 and the keyboard becomes active on the login screen.

I don't really know if this is systemd related cause I bloody don't understand anything in systemd :)

Haldaemon is not the cause, my xorg.conf file specifies explicitely mouse and keyboard and I have Option "AutoAddDevices" "False".

Cheers,
Chris.

what about this bug with systemd 40 ?

Comment 4 Chris Denice 2012-02-11 18:34:40 CET
:-/

complete catastrophy; no login screen appears anymore although service dm status claims that it running. If I restart it it works.

It takes more than 3 minutes to power off the computer and finally my xorg.conf file gets changed at each boot (mice are removed from my server setting, how to stop this?)

Cheers,
Chris.
