Have you errors in syslog ?
(In reply to comment #1) > Have you errors in syslog ? I'll see if I do and I'll post them soon. They will require a reboot. Regards, -- Shlomi Fish
Created attachment 1471 [details] The errors in the syslog when running the control centre These are the errors I'm getting on the syslog with the new kernel. Regards, -- Shlomi Fish
OK, I've now tested it with a vanilla Linux kernel (version 3.2.2) from kernel.org and the same problem happens there. I guess it's a global problem with the kernel. I'll see what I can do about reporting it there. Regards, -- Shlomi Fish

There's a proposed fix for this problem which works for me with a vanilla kernel from kernel.org. Maybe we should apply it in the Mageia kernel as well: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/attachment.cgi?id=559241&action=diff Regards, -- Shlomi Fish

I am now using the vanilla 3.2.5 kernel and I'm having some problems with systemd's "systemctl" command not working properly with the vanilla kernel, while it does with the distribution kernel (which still doesn't have networking). Even after I fix this, I don't know what else would be broken and I'd rather use a distribution kernel. Regards, -- Shlomi Fish > Regards, > > -- Shlomi Fish
