@ Dimitrios

Can you please try whether it works with another application, for instance with cheese

Comment 2 Marja Van Waes 2012-03-02 16:12:20 CET
@ Dimitrios

What do you mean by "it takes the photo"

At first I thought you meant the photo was taken, but only refused to get saved, but now I think no photo is taken at all. Do you see anything, can you make a screen shot of the "taken photo"?
Comment 3 Dimitrios Glentadakis 2012-03-03 11:04:37 CET
It takes the photo but there is no output.
With Cheese, on startup i have the message no device found
And the light (normally a green led) beside the camera is always off (i've never seen it on)
So it means that my camera it is nt operationally
Comment 4 Florian Hubold 2012-03-03 15:32:15 CET
Please show the output of
ls /dev/video*

Comment 5 Dimitrios Glentadakis 2012-03-03 16:02:01 CET
it dosnt exist:

[xenia@localhost ~]$ ls /dev/video*
ls: impossible d'accéder à /dev/video*: Aucun fichier ou dossier de ce type
Comment 6 Dimitrios Glentadakis 2012-03-03 16:11:23 CET
no it is :

[xenia@localhost ~]$ ls /dev/video*
/dev/video0

i forgot to click on the fn+camera

it is ok now , i tried with the cheese program and it is ok. Only with kamoso it does nt work in any way.

So, it has to be a problem with kamoso. I will report it upstream

thanks
