Description of problem: kmail count assistant create by default an imap count it is a good thing for a laptop but for a desktop a pop count is better no? the assistant does not offers the choice ! How reproducible: Steps to Reproduce: 1.in kamil launch the count assistant 2. fill the fields 3. click "next" then after the creation "terminate" then go th kmail settings > count > receiving you see 2 counts : - "local folder" - "Free telecom" (my isp mail) then select "Free telecom" then click "modify then in "general" tab you see an "imap server" field addendum : in kmail we see the folder tree of "local count" (inox, outbox, dustbin etc.) but there is no "Free telecom" (imap count) folder tree
you must uncheck in the first assistant window "search isp settings via internet" according the assistant offers the choice of protocols (pop3,imap etc.)
>kmail count assistant create by default an imap count what does mean count ?

If the bug is against the way the wizard work it should be done *upstream* (aka bugs.kde.org) & not on mageia's bugzilla. Not to mention that you can manually configure as you said in your comment #1. Regarding pop/imap choice from desktop/laptop there's *strictly* no reason to prefer imap over pop on a laptop and vice&versa on desktop. Closing as wontfix
