Description Jure Repinc 2011-03-17 21:12:08 CET
I juts installed Mageia 1 Alpha 2 and noticed that 3D rendering is using software rendering. This is with eMachines E640G laptop with integrated Mobility Radeon HD 5470 (Evergreen).

What I noticed is that radeon kernel module was not loaded at boot time.

This is one of the cards that require a firmware for KMS to work?

Yes, CEDAR* firmware, didn't notice that was missing.
