Description Priscus 2011-03-17 18:25:01 CET
Description of problem:
When an pre-existing encrypted partition is chosen during install ("use" the partition, then select a mount point as usual), /etc/crypttab is not configured accordingly (no problem with /etc/fstab).
At boot-time, no password is asked for, and the partition is not mounted.
The /etc/crypttab file is empty.
The /etc/fstab file references the encrypted partition correctly (/dev/mapper/crypt_sdXY).

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
Mageia installer, alpha 2

How reproducible:
Each and every time a pre-existing partition is selected during install.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Install Mageia on a computer with pre-existing encrypted partitions.
2. "Use" the encrypted partition during install, and assign it a mount point
3. Reboot
4. No password prompt, the partition is not mounted, /etc/crypttab is empty.

Reproducible:
