Description Olivier Delaune 2012-01-08 22:27:13 CET
Hello, if you install step software, this add a menu entry in Sciences > Physics > Step. If you locale is French, so Step becomes Avancer, so you have Sciences > Physics > Avancer.
This bug existed already on Mandriva. I talked about it with Nicolas Lécureuil in French on this topic (http://forum.mandriva.com/fr/viewtopic.php?p=784024#p784024).
For non-French speaker, problem looks to come from a conflict between kdelibs4.po and menu-message.po
Have you any idea how to fix that?
Thanks

Hi, in mga 1 (gnome) it's step, and you post was before the release.

John, can you reproduce ?

(there is no bug upstream about that https://bugs.kde.org/buglist.cgi?quicksearch=product%3A%22step%22)

Comment 2 Marja Van Waes 2012-05-12 10:06:12 CEST
Trying to ping 41 bug reports in one move, because nothing has happened with them for more than 3 months, they still have the status NEW or REOPENED, there is no "OK" on the Whiteboard and severity and priority are "normal" or higher.

Is this one still valid for Mageia 2 rc?

If it is and you're the assignee, please set status to ASSIGNED if you think this bug was assigned correctly. If for work flow reasons you can't do that, then please put OK on the whiteboard instead.
If it wasn't assigned correctly, please assign back to Bug Squad and explain.
Comment 3 John Balcaen 2012-05-12 12:18:22 CEST
The problem is not in step (the .desktop is correct).
However i don't know which package provides this menu-message.po to assign it correctly.

Hi,

This bug was filed against cauldron, but we do not have cauldron at the moment.

Please report whether this bug is still valid for Mageia 2.

Thanks :)

Cheers,
marja

Comment 6 Nicolas Lécureuil 2012-06-23 00:21:56 CEST
this doesn't seems simple to fix. Maybe we can change the menu entry to not clash.

john can you ask some upstream devs about what they think about this ?
