Trying to ping 41 bug reports in one move, because nothing has happened with them for more than 3 months, they still have the status NEW or REOPENED, there is no "OK" on the Whiteboard and severity and priority are "normal" or higher.

Is this one still valid for Mageia 2 rc?

If it is and you're the assignee, please set status to ASSIGNED if you think this bug was assigned correctly. If for work flow reasons you can't do that, then please put OK on the whiteboard instead.
If it wasn't assigned correctly, please assign back to Bug Squad and explain.

Hi,

This bug was filed against cauldron, but we do not have cauldron at the moment.

Please report whether this bug is still valid for Mageia 2.

Thanks :)

Cheers,
marja

hi, I fail to reproduce your error. abcde was imported mainly because rubyripper required it. Could you provide a use case where it complains about icedax missing?

Thanks in advance,

Regards,

abcde is a nice standalone commandline-tool to rip CDs.
I use it just like that:
abcde -d /dev/cdrom1 -N -x&
abcde -d /dev/cdrom -N -x&
abcde -d /dev/cdrom1 -N -x
...
So I just install abcde without rubyripper. In this case I have to install icedax manualy or abcde won't start. It's not a big problem but it's the purpose of urpmi to do this without my help.

installed abcde in new installation of Mageia 5 Beta 3. Program appears to run OK.
abcde -d /dev/cdrom -N -x&
[1] 32624
[nic@localhost ~]$ [WARNING] something went wrong while querying the CD... Maybe a DATA CD?
[INFO] The disc does not contain any tracks. Giving up...

[1]+ Done abcde -d /dev/cdrom -N -x

It was a data dvd. I couldn't find an audio cd.
icedax is not installed so no longer appears to be a prerequisite. So closed?
