Description Salvatore LaFata 2011-12-30 14:36:19 CET
Description of problem: After Firefox was updated today, Firefox will no longer start. Error message displayed states SQLite is too old.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): firefox-9.0.1-0.1.mga1, lib64sqlite3_0-3.7.9-1.mga2

How reproducible: Update Firefox from Core Updates. Try to start Firefox.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Update Firefox from Core Updates repository
2. Try to start Firefox after update.
3. Error message displayed states: "The application has been updated, but your version of SQLite is too old and the application cannot run."
Comment 1 Salvatore LaFata 2011-12-30 14:40:55 CET
I just checked the Updates Testing repository with Konqueror and downloaded the SQLite packages there. The updated packages are lib64sqlite3_0-3.7.9-1.1.mga1 and sqlite3-tools-3.7.9-1.1.mga1. This seems to resolve the issue. Firefox now opens, but you may want to make the updated packages for SQLite a dependency of Firefox 9.0.1.

Updated sqlite pushed.

Advisory:

The update to Firefox 9.0.1 missed the required sqlite3 update,
resulting in firefox no longer starting, complaining that
SQLite is too old.

This update resolves the issue.
