Next comes the error message: "IP address should be in format 1.2.3.4" so one cannot proceed. Then one tries to elave the line blank (which should work also) and againone cannot continue. Only 'previous' allows one to exit from this section. Reproducible: Steps to Reproduce:
I also experienced this bug using VirtualBox 4.0.2. The Mageia install would proceed if I selected DHCP instead of a static address, but no network connection coudl be established during the installation process.

For comparison : mdv 2010.0 and mdv 2010.2 both could not make a network connexion after selecting DHCP during install (both update and clean install). However there was no problem connecting after reboot.

Bug still present in Beta 1 install process... No need to be at the summary as described on top (exactly like it was in Alpha 1 and 2). Steps to reproduce: 1. When in "LAN & Internet config" step, choose "wired (Ethernet)". 2. Choose your LAN interface. 3. Choose "Manual config" 4. Enter any valid IPv4 address, mask, gateway, DNS and host name. 5. Click "Next" and you get this wonderful message: "IP addresse must look like "192.168.1.20". Anyway, automatic config via DHCP works like a charm and connection is OK for the install process but if you want to set a static IP you'll have to reconfigure your LAN interface after the end of Mageia install process using LAN manager or whatever else. This can also be reproduces with exactly same result at the summary of the install...

I forgot to write in my step #4 to reproduce the bug that I also tried with "192.168.1.20" as IP address ;-)... Regards, Johan
