Description of problem: I saw that I got some updates for Libreoffice that involves langpack & then I see that I get langpack-br. Langpack-br? I went to check in rpmdrake what locales I had installed & thoose appeared in front of me. I don't remember even choosing to install more than Swedish in the installer. I think the most common install is locales & locales-en & locales-XX for whatever country you've choosen. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): Mageia 1 How reproducible: Everytime I install fresh. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Download boot.iso. 2. Burn it to a USB-key using unetbootin or similar. 3. Boot it. 4. Choose language in the installer-process. 5. When installation is done & you're fully updated, check with rpmdrake what locales you've got installed.
>Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): Mageia 1 so why was set version to 'cauldron' ? :) can you also attach the file /root/drakx/report.tar.gz ?
Version: Cauldron => 1

yep, you only choose Swedish, and the locales you installed were only locales, locales-en and locales-sv but libreoffice came not only with libreoffice-langpack-sv, but with a South African langpack, too: libreoffice-langpack-nso and it did want to pull in libreoffice-langpack-br, but that didn't succeed: * ERROR: selection failed: libreoffice-langpack-br-3.3.4.1-1.3.mga1.x86_64 (due to conflicts with libreoffice-core-3.4.4.2-0.3.mga1.x86_64) besides, there was this message: * ERROR: package libreoffice-langpack-br is requiring many locales You set platform to "All", so you've seen this happen with i586, too? Component: Installer => RPM PackagesSource RPM: drakx-installer => libreoffice-3.4.4.2-0.3.mga1.src.rpm
I don't see the issue, the other packages failed, so nothing related to the description.
(In reply to comment #5) > I don't see the issue, the other packages failed, so nothing related to the > description. Had libreoffice-langpack-br been available in the correct version, it would have been installed right away and it would have required extra locales. This time libreoffice-langpack-br was installed while updating after reboot. After that Kristofer discovered the extra locales.

After a recent reinstallation of Mageia to keep my system totally fresh this isn't a problem anymore. Just checked which Libreoffice packages I had installed.
I'll close this bug as FIXED. If anyone feel that this is wrong, please open the bug with new information.
