Have you compared / can you compare with other OS / people in your area with same ISP ?

Thanks for such info!
Comment 2 Marcello Anni 2011-12-11 12:47:22 CET
in windows works perfectely, consider also that the modem is 50 centimeters far... i think is a iwl module issue...
Comment 3 Thierry Vignaud 2011-12-11 18:47:39 CET
I don't see the link with drakx-net...

Summary: Wifi connection disconnects continuosly â(WiFi 130 Series) => Wifi connection disconnects continuously â(WiFi 130 Series)
Source RPM: drakx-net-0.97.1-2.mga1 => kernel

Comment 4 Marcello Anni 2011-12-11 20:46:43 CET
you're right, in fact i tried also with networkmanager and i didn't resolve. do you need any output/info?
Comment 5 Marcello Anni 2011-12-23 21:48:41 CET
any news? it's so strange that anyone else didn't notice this issue, this wifi module should be quite common... is it only a problem of mine (and my friend)?
Comment 6 Marcello Anni 2011-12-27 22:42:40 CET
setting thomas as assignee because is a kernel problem; getting higher the severity because i had a similar issue (always iwl module used) in another system: now this issue has happened in 3 (!) different systems. thomas, i hope you can help me to resolve this problem, i think many other people suffer from this issue.

cheers,
Marcello

PS= now i'm using kernel-server-2.6.38.7-1.mga-1-1.mga1, that it's ok

Comment 9 Thomas Backlund 2011-12-28 00:10:04 CET
as root.

dmesg > dmesg.out

and attach the dmesg.out to this report.
Comment 10 Thomas Backlund 2011-12-28 00:12:52 CET
Oh, and do you mean in comment 7 that the 2.6.38.7-1.mga kernel works ok, but the 2.6.38.8 series dont work?
Comment 11 Marcello Anni 2011-12-29 11:29:58 CET
damn, i can't reproduce the issue anymore, maybe something's changed on my system or the steps to reproduce it are different compered to mine. we can wait some weeks, if there aren't any news i will close the bug. thank you

cheers,
Marcello
Comment 12 Marcello Anni 2012-01-30 10:59:34 CET
