[GUI popped up] Also, what is suggested is fine in an ideal world, and many GUIs do pop up error dialogues. OTOH erors O/P just on the console seldom stop the application functioning OK. For Mageia it would need implementing in all MCC and related GUI applications, with enough intelligence to filter the most severe warnings. Would this qualify ? It may be old, but that says only it is not resolved since reporting... The very specific example was no more than that: other examples still appear on stdout not on GUI. If warnings about rpmnew, rpmsave etcetera are useless than why do they appear on stdout ?
