I should have reported this earlier, before Mageia 2 feature freeze. Either someone finds it easy enough and interesting enough to deal with it, or it will at least be reported for Mageia 3. Description of problem: When a language is selected at installation starts, the installer pre-selects the most probable keyboards. If the user wants another, there is an option to get the whole list. While it works well enough, there is no feedback: the user has no way to check whether the right language was selected (it is possible to click on the wrong line, for example). A feekback area showing the selected keyboard would be nice. The same problem happens in the Summary/Country selection step. When the country needed is not one of the default ones for the chosen language, the right one can be chosen through the "Other countries" button, but there is no feedback there either. Same wish as above (it may be the same component, actually). Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): Any Mageia installer at least up to Mageia 2 alpha1. Again, this is only a (late) useability wishlist item, not any grevious bug. Just one of those "paper cuts" that annoy every now and then.

The keyboard will be among the most probable ones, if you select the language of your keyboard as an extra language. However, that doesn't seem to work well with the countries part. When I installed Mga2Alpha2, I choose Dutch as extra language, which worked fine for the keyboard-choice-dialog, but only the Netherlands Antilles showed up in the first Countries list, and I had to click the "other countries" button to get The Netherlands. The problem is still there, both for keyboard and country selection. It only happens when choosing an installation language that does not match the keyboard or country, so not that often. The right selection actually happens, but one of the default options is still displayed as chosen. There should be some info zone to show the selected (keyboard||country), separate from the selection area.

The more hands we have on deck, the sooner someone will find time to (learn to) help with some of those 123 bugs, the sooner this one and 1042 will get solved. You might even end up proposing patches for them, yourself :)
