Thank you for the report, Jani.

Assigning globally, but CC'ing the last packagers to update the SRPM.

Should be fixed with sddm-theme-coffee-ng-2.0-5.mga10.
Comment 3 katnatek 2026-02-16 00:15:02 CET
Still one issue

Weirdly, that error does not show in one of my VBoxes but it does pop up in another.
Anyhow, the next build should sort it out.
Comment 5 katnatek 2026-02-16 20:23:19 CET
Looks fixed in cauldron, will check if is necessary backport to mageia 9
Comment 6 katnatek 2026-02-16 20:34:28 CET
Just see this in mageia 9

file:///usr/share/sddm/themes/mga-coffee-2.0/Main.qml:72:31: Unable to assign [undefined] to double

Removing the unnecessary declaration of "radius" in Main.qml:72 should fix it.
This may not be nice, but it's harmless.

[S]RPM: sddm-theme-coffee-ng-2.0-1.2.mga9

Suggested test

Having sddm as login manager and sddm-theme-coffee-ng (https://bugs.mageia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=32412#c68)

Before the update in terminal as root

journalctl --no-hostname --no-full -b -x /usr/bin/sddm-greeter

You will see a output similar to

feb 17 17:51:16 sddm-greeter[3439]: Loading file:///usr/share/sddm/themes/mga-coffee-2.0/Main.qml...
feb 17 17:51:19 sddm-greeter[3439]: file:///usr/share/sddm/themes/mga-coffee-2.0/Main.qml:72:31: Unable to assign [undefine… to double

After the update, reboot or close session and kill sddm with Ctrl+Alt+Backspace
After start session in terminal as root will not have the last part of the message
(the previous "fail" could still be listed just check the time, is easy to see what is the output of the test after the update)

@Aurelian I update the patches for cauldron to use p1 option as suggested in our documentation, please send the build

It seems I've been too slow and you took care of things. For me, your latest build of the package looks good. Great.
Comment 12 PC LX 2026-02-18 10:30:25 CET
After installing the package sddm-theme-coffee-ng and selecting it as the sddm theme, I see the following lines in the journal. I can test when an update becomes available.

"""
# journalctl -b0 | grep -P 'sddm.*themes'

fev 18 09:25:14 jupiter-vm-mageia-9 sddm-greeter[6158]: Loading file:///usr/share/sddm/themes/mga-coffee-2.0/Main.qml...

Is not clear what version are you testing , use the --no-pager switch in journalctl
command and post rpm -q sddm-theme-coffee-ng output, the testing package is already in mirrors

Summary: SDDM theme issues => sddm-theme-coffee-ng issues

Comment 14 PC LX 2026-02-18 19:55:44 CET
The comment 13 is for the package sddm-theme-coffee-ng-2.0-1.1.mga9.
I installed the updated package sddm-theme-coffee-ng-2.0-1.2.mga9, log out, and log in again.
The message "Unable to assign [undefined] to double" is no longer produced.
This issue seems to be fixed.
