Hi

Installing libreoffice-gtk3 will installs also gtk4.0 and lib64gtk4_1 packages .

I've just installed the following :

sudo urpmi libreoffice-calc libreoffice-writer libreoffice-gtk3 libreoffice-langpack-it

But lso gtk4.0 and lib64gtk4_1 pacakages were installed as dependencies .

I do not get why libreoffice has a forced gtk4 dependency , when I requested only gtk3 support , I think it's dumb & unuseful .

On Arch and Debian based this does not happens .

I'd like to propose to make gtk4 deps as optional only .

Thank you in advance

Thank you for the observation.

Well, the addition of GTK4 causes no problems.
I cannot comment on "why?", nor whether your suggestion can be implemented.
It is late in the day to be fiddling with Mageia 9, so do not expect it to change.
But the point might be valid for Mageia 10.

Copying two packagers who should be able to reply.

Assuming this is valid for Cauldron/Mageia 10 too.
- setting it so to show up on the radar for mga10

Adding the flag: affects_mga9 +
to all bugs with MGA9TOO on the whiteboard, without removing MGA9TOO (for now).

Flags: (none) => affects_mga9+
