Current package version has a dependency problem: attempt to install or update nvidia-current-cuda-opencl component requires full nvidia-cuda-toolkit with both runtime and devel packages. Please fix it.

The root of the problem is this: $ LC_ALL=C sudo rpm -i nvidia-current-cuda-opencl-580.76.05-1.mga9.nonfree.x86_64.rpm error: Failed dependencies: libcuda.so.1()(64bit) is needed by nvidia-current-cuda-opencl-580.76.05-1.mga9.nonfree.x86_64 Seems like you excluded this lib from provides but forgot to exclude it from requires...

(In reply to Oleg Bosis from comment #4) > Current package version has a dependency problem: attempt to install or > update nvidia-current-cuda-opencl component requires full > nvidia-cuda-toolkit with both runtime and devel packages. > > Please fix it. Seem to be OK now with the -2 revision? On my system that do not have any nvidia packages: [morgan@svarten ~]$ LC_ALL=C sudo urpmi --test nvidia-current-cuda-opencl In order to satisfy the 'kmod(nvidia-current.ko)[== 580.76.05]' dependency, one of the following packages is needed: 1- dkms-nvidia-current-580.76.05-2.mga9.nonfree.x86_64: NVIDIA kernel module for GeForce 745 and later cards (to install) 2- dkms-nvidia-current-open-580.76.05-2.mga9.nonfree.x86_64: NVIDIA kernel module for GeForce 745 and later cards (to install) What is your choice? (1-2) 1 To satisfy dependencies, the following packages are going to be installed: (test only, installation will not be actually done) Package Version Release Arch (medium "Nonfree Updates Testing (distrib15)") dkms-nvidia-current 580.76.05 2.mga9.nonfr> x86_64 nvidia-current-cuda-opencl 580.76.05 2.mga9.nonfr> x86_64 nvidia-current-utils 580.76.05 2.mga9.nonfr> x86_64 832MB of additional disk space will be used. 272MB of packages will be retrieved. Proceed with the installation of the 3 packages? (Y/n) n

I had no issues with dependencies with the original list, but that was because the toolkit is a dependency of cuda-z, and was already installed. I don't know when the toolkit-devel package was installed on this system. For this test I switched from nvidia-current to the 470 driver using XFdrake, and removed the toolkit packages, which removed cuda-z. After the reboot, I switched back to nvidia-current with XFdrake, and re-installed the opencl package. The toolkit packages were not requested. It's only been a few minutes after the reboot, but so far, so good. No obvious issues.
