Just an initial test so far, more tomorrow. No installation issues. The libafs module, left over from a previous test, built and installed without issues. Gave VirtualBox a quick try, no issues there, either.

hibernate-restore: As always on this machine:
hibernate saves OK but fail to shut off; instead power lamp blinks - user need to hold it in to shut off. Next boot it restores saved session OK.

No installation issues. Used it for a while last evening, this morning, and just now. Tried Firefox, Thunderbird, VLC, VirtualBox(Mageia 9 Xfce guest), Handbrake. No issues to report. Glmark2 score is 5061, fairly typical for this machine.

No one's reported any issues on lots of different hardware, I'm inclined to OK and validate.

Giuseppe?

Yes, seems ok. I agree.

Comment 37 Dan Fandrich 2025-08-11 21:48:49 CEST
The .adv file specifies package kernel-6.6.101-2.mga9 but that one doesn't exist and I don't see any reference to it in this bug. The spec file was updated with a -2 %mkrel though, with a comment "Add Conflicts with kernel-stable-userspace-headers". Are we waiting for a -2 package or should the -1 one be pushed?

Comment 38 Giuseppe Ghibò 2025-08-11 22:10:35 CEST
The .adv specifies 6.6.101-2.mga9, but I think was a typo. The right one for pushing for which there are the files in the mirrors is the 6.6.101-1.mga9 (the spec file with -2 mkrel you see, is for addressing another bug, but there isn't yet any build of it).

That is a good question, waiting to reply to fix advisory
Comment 40 Dan Fandrich 2025-08-11 22:59:38 CEST
katnatek, since you created the advisory file, if you think it was just a typo I'll switch it back and push -1.

Interesting, so the mga-advisor take it automatically from svn?

Yes, mga-advisor read mgarepo log, thus indirectly from SVN.
I worked for a version using dnf repositories, I don't remember if it works. It needs however dnf5, thus Cauldron or additional Copr repository.
