Our Mageia 9 version looks old: 2020.3.19 For Cauldron we have what is asked for: Sep 24 2024 Update to version 2024.1.1 which can be applied to M9, please. But Cauldron also has this more recently: Jan 22 2025 Update to release candidate 4

Yep, I am on it. I'll push on cauldron first then on mga9!! thanks!
Usually, to put this version in the testing repositories? Because there, only those who have cauldron will be able to test. Are you going to deploy this version in mageia 9, or mageia 9 testing? ----------------------------------------------------------- d'habitude, pour mettez cette version dans les dépots testings ? car la, seuls ceux qui ont cauldron pourront tester. Allez vous déployer cette version dans mageia 9, ou mageia 9 testing ?
For an update on mageia 9, we have to put it on updates_testing, so it will land there first and you'll be able to test it to check everything works. Then, together with QA, it will be moved to mga9 updates afterwards. I'll post an update advisory once the package is built!
Simgear, flightgear and flightgear-data stable release 2024.1.1 landing in updates_testing. This a bump in major release number, but this is a leaf package and this version supersedes the LTS 2020.3.X releases we had on mga9 and which are no longer maintained from now on. To test, install them, and, in a terminal enter: fgfs --launcher Play around. If you want to fly a plane, don't forget to allow "enabling terrasync", which downloads the scenery where you start. If you don't, you'll be in water. MGA9-64 Plasma Wayland on Compaq H000SB No installation issues. Could start, looong wait on this slow laptop, got finally into the Cessna cockpit, could move some buttons and switches, but didn't get any further being too lazy to read some tutorial to get flying.

MGA9-64 Plasma, on my most capable hardware, i5-7500, 48GB RAM, M.2 NVME SSDs, Nvidia Quadro K620 graphics. Updated from the previous version. No installation issues. Ran it from the Plasma menu, and after a lot of initialization, including downloading scenery data from somewhere, I found myself in the cockpit of a Cessna. I've done a bit of student piloting of hot air balloons, but this is VERY different. I found the autostart button, and got the engine running. Found the throttle, and gave 'er all she's got. Found that the arrow keys would move the yolk for steering, and careened around the airport, crashing into buildings and generally making myself a menace, until finally enough damage was done that it tipped over and the engine stopped. I quit the program, then relaunched, and miraculously the Cessna had been repaired to like-new condition. Deciding to leave well enough alone, I stopped there. With about 20 years of experience crewing for hot air balloons, I'd probably do better with one of those, but that doesn't seem to be an option. Oh, well. Looks OK here, as far as I can take it. Giving it an OK, and validating.

Thanks for testing guys, and thanks Thomas for the *lively* testing :) I've never tried balloon in FG, but they do exist in some "garage" (repos where you can find unofficial planes & other moving things). https://wiki.flightgear.org/Hot_Air_Balloon
Thank you ----------------------------------------------------- merci
