Since the first developer of Guayadeque (Juan Rios alias anonbeat) has stopped working on its source, a very active and reactive fork (by Tiago Barrionuevo alias thothix) continues the job. This version corrects some bugs, improve the GUI, corrects some errors in messages (in English) and in messages translations (in Catalan, French, German, Greek, Italian, Spanish that were filled with misinterpretations ) We shouldn't wait for Mageia10 to propose this for Mageia (it's a leaf package) NB I have worked with upstream to improve Guayadeque, tested several beta versions until this final release which is really bug free now... It can be used for a fresh installation or as an update of the previous Mageia9 already updated 0.5.3 version (it uses then the previous settings and collection database without damaging them)
Sounds good to me. I see you are both a user and our de facto packager. Naturally assigning to you. Please CC any others who can help QA this, as it may be a big step. CC also Lewis, as you are a long time bugsquad, for comment.

This can be proposed to QA : it's already in Mageia-9/core/updates_testing I already fully tested it as a fresh install or as an update of a previous install (I have collaborated with the developer to test and improve all the beta versions since version 0.5.0 and 0.5.3 already provided as updates for Mageia9) This 0.6.2 version will be the latest for a moment !

Since 2 round before you switch to this developer so I not think we must remark again that part. Test will come later

If someone want to test as an update : 1) install guayadeque 0.5.3 from /core/updates use it adding some music directory(ies) as source(s) of the library set the different panels as you want this creates an hidden directory /home/your-username/.guayadeque 2) install the update from /core/updates_testing It will use and won't damage the previous settings In my opinion it's one of the best Music Player, full of functionalities and able to manage a huge number of music files of any format... and internet-radios, podcasts
The computer I have tested guayadeque with before has been packed away to make room for our Christmas tree, so it's not available right now. This looks like a general bugfix release, so no specific issue to test. Katnatek's test should be enough. Validating.
