Description of problem: attempting to install anjuta from Mageiawelcome app fails : no package named anjuta. Either package anjuta or remove this option from Mageia Welcome app. (also Mga9) Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): mageiawelcome-2.25-2.mga10 How reproducible:always Steps to Reproduce: 1.attempt to install anjuta from mageia welcome app 2. 3.
What medias do you have? urpmq --list-media -a will show you. I have these added: Core Release Core Release Debug Core Updates Core Updates Debug Nonfree Release Nonfree Release Debug Nonfree Updates Nonfree Updates Debug Core 32bit Release Core 32bit Updates Nonfree 32bit Release Nonfree 32bit Updates Open MCC, go to Configure media sources for installation and updates and then tick the box on the left for which ones you want to have activated, then confirm by clicking the OK button and the close MCC and try with the Mageia Welcome app again. It should work then. As an example I use ftp.accum.umu.se as a mirror to get the medias. Choose one that is fairly close to you geographically. Check on https://mirrors.mageia.org/ which ones that suit your needs the best.

I have mageiawelcome-2.25-2.mga10, too, but I haven't managed to find anjuta in there. Where so you see it?

Anjuta is archived upstream since 2018. It got removed teo years ago from Mageia due to its unmaintained/EOl status (can easily be checked within SVN).
@ Ben, Do you also still see Anjuta in Mageia Welcome with a new user?
(In reply to Marja Van Waes from comment #4) > @ Ben, > > Do you also still see Anjuta in Mageia Welcome with a new user? Well it appears there is still something about anjuta in Mageia Welcome: $ urpmq -l mageiawelcome | grep anjuta /usr/share/mageiawelcome/img/anjuta.png Also, it is in /usr/share/mageiawelcome/AppList.qml Changing this report into a request to remove it. (It annoys me that I don't know why I can't reproduce the issue, I just don't see anjuta anywhere in Mageia Welcome)
Summary: mageiawelcome unable to install Anjuta - no package named anjuta => Please remove anjuta.png from Mageia Welcome and remove it from /usr/share/mageiawelcome/AppList.qml and anywhere else.Assignee: bugsquad => mageiatools
This was fixed in gitweb: http://gitweb.mageia.org/software/mageiawelcome/commit/?id=026159bc803248494ac72238d3d76c8f72e4b85a But the best would be to replace anjuta with its replacement gnome-builder!

anjuta is still listed as a package to install Applications / Programming ( mageiawelcome-2.25-2.mga10 ), yet installation of anjuta still fails. there is no package named anjuta available to install.
