mga9-64 OK here on my workstation "svarten" Have been running it a few days with kernel-desktop-6.6.37-1, today also with mesa from core testing, and VirtualBox 7.0.20. Normal desktop apps, internet video. Suspend-resume and hibernate-resume works. As usual last year, I need to power cycle my monitor after suspend-resume. vt switching works, minus one time after I had VB guest hanging because of Bug 33400, after that vt switching back to Plasma gave me a hard hang. Coincidence or not... $ inxi -SMCG System: Host: svarten.tribun Kernel: 6.6.37-desktop-1.mga9 arch: x86_64 bits: 64 Desktop: KDE Plasma v: 5.27.10 Distro: Mageia 9 Machine: Type: Desktop Mobo: ASRock model: P55 Pro serial: <superuser required> BIOS: American Megatrends v: P2.60 date: 08/20/2010 CPU: Info: dual core model: Intel Core i7 870 bits: 64 type: MT MCP cache: L2: 512 KiB Speed (MHz): avg: 1205 min/max: 1200/2934 cores: 1: 1205 2: 1205 3: 1205 4: 1205 Graphics: Device-1: NVIDIA GM107 [GeForce GTX 750] driver: nvidia v: 550.100 Display: x11 server: X.org v: 1.21.1.8 with: Xwayland v: 22.1.9 driver: X: loaded: nvidia,v4l gpu: nvidia,nvidia-nvswitch resolution: 3840x2160~60Hz API: OpenGL v: 4.6.0 NVIDIA 550.100 renderer: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 750/PCIe/SSE2

There is also out upcoming 6.6.41-1, which should be further stable. Don't take as written in stone, but after a kernel/mesa and nvidia update, try a couple of boot (at least reach the login greeter and login, then logout and reboot) before using it deeply with reaching suspend/resume. In this way harddrake2 (but I think also mesa, plasma, etc.), would create/refresh the initial cache for the newer version numbers.

(In reply to Giuseppe Ghibò from comment #2) > There is also out upcoming 6.6.41-1, which should be further stable. > Don't take as written in stone I never do ;-) kernel-desktop-6.6.41-1 hang on vt switching back to Plasma (regression). kernel-linus-6.6.41-1 do not hang. Both handle suspend-resume OK. (As usual last year: If suspended more than about 15 minutes, o need to power cycle monitor as it do not wake up fully by itself - it just wakes up to say there is no signal, until i power cycle it. I guess some monitor presence detection for that port on graphics card do not work (hardware, firmware or driver/kernel). For both kernels I rebooted twice before testing.

Maybe a matrix/csv for keeping track, with kernel-$(uname -r), hostname (to identify hardware), driver-version, and results (works, suspend, etc.).

MGA9-64 Plasma, i5-7500,Quadro K620. It was late, but I did a quick test, simple update over the existing nvidia-current in the server kernel. Rebooted, no issues to report. Booted into desktop kernel, driver was built, and it came up to a working desktop. No issues to report there, either. I did not try suspend/hibernate/resume.

(In reply to Morgan Leijström from comment #4) > kernel-desktop-6.6.41-1 hang on vt switching back to Plasma (regression). In same situation system do not hang using kernel-desktop-6.6.42-1. So maybe we should optimally release new kernel before nvidia. ( Minor maybe system differences that I think *may* affect it: I have this time nvidia-current-cuda-opencl installed, VirtualBox 7.0.20, and newer mesa. )

There is the upcoming 6.6.43-1mga9, it also addresses some further security fixes. Locally it works fine (suspend, resume, etc.). It should be the definitive one ater 6.6.37. I'll open a bug report request for it (and complete with the missing kmod-virtualbox) after virtualbox-7.0.20 is validated, so to avoid overlapping with it.

Works well with kernel 6.6.43 too, including CUDA (as reported by CUDA-Z) I believe this is about as much testing we will get, and no problems noted.
