Description Ezequiel Partida 2024-07-16 17:16:42 CEST
When my laptop is connected to an HP or lenovo USB Type C docking station booting time gets stuck for some time.

This dock stations have a network card and 2 or more HDMI/DP ports.

https://www.lenovo.com/mx/es/p/accessories-and-software/docking/docking-usb-docks/40ay0090us?cid=mx:sem:pmax|se|google|pmax+todos+los+productos|||es_MX40AY0090US|18137568889|||pmax|mixed|all&gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAjwtNi0BhA1EiwAWZaANGXv3bodxye4xX6smScPznrvgte6D9caeYb56YWeLAXy5TKWzcnswxoCrYIQAvD_BwE

In my case it's an HP dock station but same happens with lenovo branded..

They use DisplayLink technology.. but the problem seems to be the network card, I have attached a picture of what I get if the dock station is connected...

The only way to avoid this is to connec the dock station after it boots.

Btw.. I used the displaylink video driver I packed myself for mageia, katnatek also did some adjustments to give more options. It would be great to include it in mageia 10.
