Description bascule teller 2024-07-01 18:27:23 CEST
The spec file in this srpm does not reference the cdemu-daemon.service files that come with the source.
Thus the rpm doesn't install the service file.

Should be fixed now with cdemu-daemon-3.2.6-2.1.mga9.x86_64.rpm!

Package in 9/Core/Updates_testing:
=============
cdemu-daemon-3.2.6-2.1.mga9

From SRPMS:
cdemu-daemon-3.2.6-2.1.mga9.src.rpm

Note: The daemon can be started as regular user and is not too hard to create an autostart entry in the main desktop environments

                                 ##################################################################################################

I wonder if the service should be listed when

systemctl start c+tab
canberra-system-bootup.service           colord.service                           cups.path
canberra-system-shutdown-reboot.service  console-getty.service                    cups.service
canberra-system-shutdown.service         cpupower.service                         cups.socket
certbot-renew.service                    cups-browsed.service
chrony-wait.service                      cups-lpd.socket

BTW I kill cdemu-daemon and start again and can mount isos with cdemu-client

OK a few of reading and a test without starting cdemu-daemon reveals that the daemo n is started on demand as is expected
