After recent updates, Goldendict will not start: $ goldendict goldendict: symbol lookup error: /lib64/libQt6WebEngineCore.so.6: undefined symbol: _ZN3re23RE210FullMatchNEN4absl12mga_2023080211string_viewERKS0_PKPKNS0_3ArgEi Version in the respository is an alpha release from Febuary 2023. There is a stable 1.5.0 release from May 2023 listed as the latest in GitHub. I DK if that will fix the error...
I'd say wait until new qtwebengine6 in core/updates_testing gets moved to core/release.
@aguador: What release are you reporting for: Mageia 9 (Source RPM) or Cauldron (Version)? Jani's comment would apply to Mageia 9. But I see that the newest release (below) cites Qt5, not 6; at least for the Windows versions. Would that matter? > Version in the respository is an alpha release from Febuary 2023. There is a > stable 1.5.0 release from May 2023 listed as the latest in GitHub. GoldenDict 1.5.0 Latest on May 30, 2023 For Cauldron it is sensible to ask for this version update. I cannot see goldendict in Cauldron at all... > After recent updates, Goldendict will not start: Are you able to pinpoint what updates caused the problem? If you know the date, $ rpm -qa --last | less can help.

I may have chanded machines due to a low battery (on phone now), but the problem is in Cauldron.
In cauldron's svn goldendict has been replaced by goldendict-ng which needs qt6, but the mirrors still have the mga9 goldendict While it's been upoloaded to svn, it hasn't been built yet. https://svnweb.mageia.org/packages/cauldron/goldendict-ng/current/SPECS/goldendict-ng.spec?revision=2068981&view=markup https://mirror.math.princeton.edu/pub/mageia/distrib/cauldron/x86_64/media/core/release/goldendict-23.02.07-0.alpha.230316.3abdadb7.1.mga9.x86_64.rpm Assigning to the registered maintainer according to https://maintdb.mageia.org/goldendict-ng

Thanks, Dave. I was just going to look more closely after my idiot response last night with the mobile. Will await the new -ng...
goldendict-ng is now available in core/release and obsoletes/replaces goldendict.
Thanks, Jani. Downloaded and installed without speech add-ons. It crashed yesterday, when I was not using it, but I suspect that is because it had a glitch while re-indexed the dictionaries. Today everything seems to be fine. Can even set the interface to Dark! Closing.
