MGA9-64 Plasma, i5-7500, Nvidia Quadro K620 graphics, kernel-desktop 6.6.22-1. No installation issues. I have been running this for a couple of hours now, with no issues. Will try the kernel update candidate later today.

Forgot to write also that vt switching (ctrl-alt-F4 etc), as well as suspend and hibernation works (have been occasional problems with nvidia drivers with those aspects in some earlier versions of driver and kernels)

Not entirely unexpected. This hardware went out of date ages ago.

That means there is no update of the nvidia470 flavour which you are using. You should launch drakx11 and select NVIDIA > Driver: Production which is drax11 naming for nvidia-current (first make sure you have the kernel-devel package for your kernel installed, drakx11 forgets to check that, i have filed a bug) > This hardware went out of date ages ago. I think it is supported. My GTX 750 works with both nvidia470 and current.
I should mention you may hit this bug that my system repetaedly fall into, but not TJ: Bug 32579 - switching nvidia driver, next boot fail graphical mode for the kernel that was running So make sure you have more kernels installed than one (I know you do).
In reply to Morgan in comment 7; Thanks Morgan. Worked like a charm. Even after 30 years of working with linux and nvidia I still do not understand how this stuff works. Just grateful that it does. $ inxi -G Graphics: Device-1: NVIDIA GP102 [GeForce GTX 1080 Ti] driver: nvidia v: 550.76 Device-2: PCTV Systems tripleStick 292e type: USB driver: em28xx Display: x11 server: X.org v: 1.21.1.8 with: Xwayland v: 22.1.9 driver: X: loaded: nvidia,v4l gpu: nvidia,nvidia-nvswitch resolution: 2560x1440~60Hz API: OpenGL v: 4.6.0 NVIDIA 550.76 renderer: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti/PCIe/SSE2 glmark2 returned 22186 for the full set. Graphics working across the board. HD TV shows a little motion blur but otherwise OK. Youtube videos playing smoothly in fullscreen mode.
