Description of problem: One year old computer, xorg (as seen by XFdrake) was running with Graphic Card: "Custom" >> "Intel" >> "Kernel Mode setting (xorg modesetting)" until now but with this version X does not come up with following errors: quote (EE) Failed to load /usr/lib64/xorg/modules/drivers/modesetting_drv.so: /usr/lib64/xorg/modules/drivers/modesetting_drv.so: undefined symbol: gbm_bo_get_plane_count (EE) Failed to load module "modesetting" (loader failed, 0) (EE) No devices detected. (EE) Fatal server error: (EE) no screens found(EE) (EE) (EE) Please also check the log file at "/var/log/Xorg.9.log" for additional information. (EE) (EE) Server terminated with error (1). Closing log file. unquote After I changed the Graphic Card in XFdrake to "Intel 810 and later" the problem disappears. But I should think that is a workaround, not a solution... Google shows some similar errors from some years ago but i do not understand enough to fix it now. My hardware: see output from lspcidrake attached. Ask me anything else if needed to solve this. Thanks
Created attachment 14499 [details] output from "lspcidrake -vv"
Please try with x11-server-21.1.12-3.mga10 when it hits the mirrors.
Source RPM: x11-server-xorg => x11-server-21.1.12-1.mga10CC: (none) => jani.valimaaSummary: xorg-x11-xorg-21.1.12-1 errs on modesetting => x11-server: errs on modesetting
That fixes it: thanks!
