Our current version is a beta release from 1.8.x branch and released on 2022-08-18 which was updated during the mga9 development cycle. Now a stable release is out and it would be preferable to update our pkg to this new stable version which is also a bugfixes release: https://sayonara-player.com/changelog/

Mageia9, x64 Thought this was going to be simple... Installed the 1.8 core release version and attempted to set up a music library. The search for audio files started and ran and ran. Had to chop it after 45 minutes. It had been unable to find a single file which is strange when it was sitting right next to the user Music directory. $ du -hs Music 65G Music No point in trying the update. Leaving this to others to test.

Validating because of comment 3. @Len, if you think this bears more examination because of your experience in comment 2, let us know.

@TJ with reference to comment 4; Yes I was able to play music with cover art and all, just as said in comment #3. Other music players, such as amarok often tend to generate "libraries" at setup so this looked like normal behaviour. In such cases the libraries are built fairly quickly so the endless searching was a bit disturbing. Could have been finger trouble I suppose. ??
An update for this issue has been pushed to the Mageia Updates repository. https://advisories.mageia.org/MGAA-2024-0125.html
