Description Thomas Andrews 2024-03-24 00:22:20 CET
Description of problem:

While wandering around the Web, I stumbled on https://forums.developer.nvidia.com/t/current-graphics-driver-releases/28500 and saw that the "latest" drivers for "production" and "newfeature" are now the same, both at 550.67, which is higher than any of ours.

Looking at https://www.nvidia.com/Download/driverResults.aspx/223426/en-us/ I see that the driver was released on March 19, just four days ago. According to the listed "highlights," this is primarily a bugfix release.

I don't know if these fixes are serious enough to merit an update of our drivers at this time, but I thought it would be a good idea to bring it up, anyway. Updating them *would* solve the situation we now have, where the newfeature driver version is actually lower than nvidia-current...
