Description of problem: I took the liberty of packing a useful tool from OpenSuse called git-buildpackage. I know the spec file isn't to nice, but at least it clears with rpmlint so no errors and warnings. Feel free to adapt it. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): 0.9.23
Summary: PKG REQUEST git-buildpackage helps to build rpms straight from git source => PKG REQUEST git-buildpackage helps to build rpms from git source
The usefulness is questionable on a rpm based distribution. From their website: „Suite to help with maintaining Debian packages in Git repositories.“ It is a Debian Tool which is only shipped by openSUSE as only rpm based distribution. https://honk.sigxcpu.org/piki/projects/git-buildpackage/

If I'm not mistaken we share code with Redhat AND Debian. If that's the case, why not use their tool?
Since Suse is I believe RPM based, this could have some relevance for Mageia. Assigning this package request to all packagers collectively. On a voluntary basis, one of them might, if there are no license or other legal issues, want to integrate it to the distribution and maintain it for bug and security fixes. You Kristoffer might also want to join the packager team to maintain this piece of software: see https://wiki.mageia.org/en/Becoming_a_Mageia_Packager
