Description of problem: Config : - Mageia 8, kernel 5.15.126 - Firefox V. 102.15.1esr (64 bits) - desktop Xfce 1. I often use Jitsi conferencing in Firefox. But for the past month or two, I cannot exhange audio and video flows any more with the other participants : I can see myself in Jitsi as usual, I see that my correspondents are connected (preview icon in Jitsi) and I can send/receive messages in the Jitsi chat, but they can't see nor ear me, and I can't see them nor ear them. On my end, their cam and their micro appear to be muted and so are mine on their side. I'm sure that my local cam and micro authorizations are OK. 2. One of my computers has a dual-boot and if I try to connect in Windows -with the exactly the same Jitsi/Firefox combination-, everything works like a charm. 3. The problem is not with my correspondents, they use MS/Windows/Firefox or MacOS/Firefox or Safari, and everything works on their side *as far as I use Windows*. Thanks in advance for any help,
You are using Mageia 8 which is unsupported and EOL since November 2023. The same applies for Firefox which is also EOL and many unfixed bugs. Please update to supported products (MGA9 and Firefox ESR 115.x) and create a new bugreport when you can repeat the problem with supported products.
Status: NEW => RESOLVEDResolution: (none) => WONTFIX
If for a unknown reason you need to keep using Mageia 8 try with the binaries from Mozilla https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all/#product-desktop-release or https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all/#product-desktop-esr
