Description Morgan Leijström 2024-01-29 20:26:00 CET
Description of problem:

With nvidia-newfeature, boinc do not find GPU

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
boinc-client-7.24.1-2

Using:
kernel-desktop-6.6.14-1
nvidia-newfeature-545.29.06-2 Bug 32565

And yes nvidia-newfeature-cuda-opencl-545.29.06-2 is installed,
and cuda-z say it works.

Boinc see GPU with nvidia-current-535.154.05-1 Bug 32761, same setup
weird.

Hi Morgan. If it works with a previous nvidia version, I doubt I will be able to do anything on boinc side. I will still have a look.
Comment 2 Morgan Leijström 2024-03-05 15:52:37 CET
With nvidia-current 550 now in testing, BOINC logs at start that it finds GPU for both OpenCL and CUDA, tested using both kernel-linus-6.5.13-2.mga9, and kernel-desktop-6.6.18-1.mga9

I have closed the update bug for nvidia-newfeature-545.29.06-2, as 550 is higher.

Resolution: (none) => WORKSFORME
Status: NEW => RESOLVED
