This new version of DashboardSK corrects some bugs in the previous version which couldn't create a config file in the right place Updated package in /core/updates_testings ========================================= opencpn-dashboardsk-plugin-0.2.0-2.git20240102.mga9 from SRPM opencpn-dashboardsk-plugin-0.2.0-1.git20240102.mga9.src.rpm This package needs to be tested on the opencpn version from core/updates (opencpn-5.8.4-2)
PS that's for QA
Thank you for your continued sterling work on this application. Can you please give an indication how to test the update; hopefully a question of confirming a config file in the right place - and what happened before. Then change assignee to qa-bugs.

The previous version was not totally OK (a kind of work in progress to test it) That needed a kind of workaround to display anything This last version 0.2.0 was OK for Flatpak but not yet for our rpm install Thanks to the dev now it works even for us When dashboardsk is updated If you click on its icon : |35| you will dials and little numericals displays in transparency upon the chart If you click inside the upper menu bar "tools" button then choose options then plugins then click on dashboardsk item IF you click on "settings" button a little window offers to modify the order of the displayed items to suppress an item to create a new item If you simply modify the order of the items a new config.json file will be created inside /home/yourname/.opencpn/plugins/DashboardSK_pi/ I tested it : it's OK for MGA9 x86_64

Hi Marja Thanks once again for your accurate and careful reading ;-) I'm really sorry for the typo !!! Indeed the release is effectively "1" The Advisory must be : Updated package in /core/updates_testings ========================================= opencpn-dashboardsk-plugin-0.2.0-1.git20240102.mga9.x86_64.rpm opencpn-dashboardsk-plugin-0.2.0-1.git20240102.mga9.i586.rpm opencpn-dashboardsk-plugin-0.2.0-1.git20240102.mga9.aarch64.rpm opencpn-dashboardsk-plugin-0.2.0-1.git20240102.mga9.armv7hl.rpm from SRPM opencpn-dashboardsk-plugin-0.2.0-1.git20240102.mga9.src.rpm These packages need to be tested on the opencpn version from core/updates (opencpn-5.8.4-2)
MGA9-64 Plasma Wayland on HP Pavillion No installation issues. No previous updates and # urpmq --whatrequires opencpn-dashboardsk-plugin opencpn-dashboardsk-plugin Above Philippe writes: "When dashboardsk is updated If you click on its icon : |35|" I have no idea what icon he refers to????
CC: (none) => herman.viaene
Hi Herman on the left part of the displayed chart you have a vertical bar of icons with a black background : there appear the icons of all the installed plugins if the bar is not displayed click on the button in the upper left side of the chart: it's a black icon with 3 horizontal white strips in the icons bar, the icon of DashboardSK looks like this |35|
I may say that this update is OK for MGA64 since I have been using OpenCPN for years and maintaining it too before providing the updates of the plugins I have tested them a lot, and even have had to communicate with the developers of some of them, to modify or patch the source But an OK for MGA64 from the maintainer is certainly not enough :-(
Hi. I'm just trying to come up to speed with qarepo to test these. If I cut-and-paste opencpn-dashboardsk-plugin-0.2.0-1.git20240102.mga9.src.rpm from above into the RPMs field in qarepo I get ERROR: opencpn-dashboardsk-plugin-0.2.0-1.git20240102.mga9.src.rpm not found in the remote repository. (using mirrors.kernel.org/mirrors/mageia) What am I doing wrong?

Hi Tony The srpm opencpn-dashboardsk-plugin-0.2.0-1.git20240102.mga9.src.rpm is in Mageia/distrib/9/SRPMS/core/updates_testing/ and nowhere else the rpms themselves are for example : opencpn-dashboardsk-plugin-0.2.0-1.git20240102.mga9.x86_64.rpm in Mageia/distrib/9/x86_64/media/core/updates_testing/ opencpn-dashboardsk-plugin-0.2.0-1.git20240102.mga9.aarch64.rpm in Mageia/distrib/9/aarch64/media/core/updates_testing/ In your qarepo tool don't cut and past the srpm name ! (it will not be found inside a rpm repo) but past the rpm name
Duh, Yes. I was doing it during the qa meeting with only half my attention. Thanks
> In your qarepo tool > don't cut and past the srpm name ! (it will not be found inside a rpm repo) > but past the rpm name Sorry for the typo read cut and "paste" instead of cut and "past" ! and "paste" instead of "past"

Mageia9, x86_64 Jumping in on this. Clean update. Clicking the dashboard icon shows the current position coordinates and what looks like an orientation diagram.

Giving Tony a chance to play with this one for a little while, to gain more experience with our tools, etc. Not too long, though, as I know Philippe is anxious to get it validated.
