Description Rémi Verschelde 2024-01-03 10:07:54 CET
We recently released Godot 4.2 (in early December), and shortly after the first 4.2.1 patch release. It's now well tested enough that I'm confident updating it in Mageia 9 too.

Advisory:
=========

Updated godot packages provide latest supported stable release

  This update provides Godot 4.2.1, the current latest patch release in the
  supported 4.2 branch.

  The 4.2 branch is compatible with 4.1 projects in most cases.

  Please refer to the Godot 4.2 release notes, and the migration guide, for
  relevant info on porting projects. You can also download Godot 4.1.3 binaries
  from the Godot website if you need to stay on that branch for a project.

We currently don't package any Godot 4 games or apps, so the Godot editor should be tested standalone, there's no package to test godot-runner with.

Advisory from comment 0 added to SVN. Please remove the "advisory" keyword if it needs to be changed. It also helps when obsolete advisories are tagged as "obsolete"

No installation issues
Googled and found a load of video tutorials for beginners, took the first one and launched from the CLI, giving some feedback

Followed the video to create a new project and add a button with text in it. All worked smoothly.
Not enough patience and interest in this discipline to go any further, seems to work OK.
