Description Kristoffer Grundström 2023-12-12 23:12:21 CET
Description of problem: I see we have perl version 5.38 in Cauldron (at the time of making this report), but I can't find the related package built by perl called perl-Pod-Checker. I'd like to see perl-Pod-Checker built and imported into Cauldron as soon as possible.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): 1.75

In order to package this from the perl src.rpm we also need to add the %{cross_compiling} macro because rebuilding the openmandriva perl src.rpm gives me the following error:

Installing perl-5.38.2-28.src.rpm
warning: perl-5.38.2-28.src.rpm: Header V4 RSA/SHA256 Signature, key ID bf81de15: NOKEY
error: parse error in expression:  %{cross_compiling}
error:                             ^
error: /home/kristoffer/rpmbuild/SPECS/perl.spec:122: bad %if condition:  %{cross_compiling}

I certainly cannot find this in our repertoire.

Assigning this package request to all packagers collectively. On a voluntary basis, one of them might, if there are no license or other legal issues, want to integrate it to the distribution and maintain it for bug and security fixes.

You Kristoffer might also want to join the packager team to maintain this piece of software: see https://wiki.mageia.org/en/Becoming_a_Mageia_Packager
