Description of problem: I often use clementine (amarok) musicbrainz support for automatic song tagging. I worked in Mageia before but now it looks everything is O.K. but clementine say no song match but amarok can find tag information of the same song. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): How reproducible: Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3.
gstreamer0.10-ofa (which provides the music brainz functionnality) is a suggest & not a require of clementine. This suggests was added in clementine available in updates since September 22th 2011 see bug #1987 & http://svnweb.mageia.org/packages/updates/1/clementine/current/SPECS/clementine.spec?r1=101464&r2=117688 Regards,

In fact it's an upstream behaviour from my point of view maybe « introduced by » http://code.google.com/p/clementine-player/issues/detail?id=1390 Here music brainz is working as expected for « recent » music files (for example a black eyed peas file ) but for one of my old George Benson files it's not able to find any song while it's indeed working for amarok The timeout maybe be too short. Could you report it upstream ?

If so, can you please give the link to the upstream bug report?

I do not know if it has been reported upstream but if you have this bug on version 0.7.1 (in Mageia 1 repository), I think developer do not like that. It is better to report bug of current version (version 1.0 has been released at the end of December 2011). So maybe, you could provide current version in reporitory to check if this bug is still present.

backport is not open but clementine 1.0 is of course available in cauldron if needed.
@ Richard Can you test clementine 1.0 with a cauldron / Mageia 2 alpha install? @ John assigning to you, since you maintain clementine

I am afraid whenever I try to install Mageia 2 the install completed but the system did not boot.
(In reply to comment #9) > I am afraid whenever I try to install Mageia 2 the install completed but the > system did not boot. If you mean that the system got stuck while booting (that happened to me a lot with 2 alpha), and if you have a SysRq key, please try whether terminating all processes except init helps to continue booting. You can do this as follows: in case of a QWERTY or AZERTY keyboard: keep (Alt + SysRq) pressed and hit "e" in case you have a Dvorak keyboard: keep (Alt + SysRq) pressed and hit "."
I am over a Mageia 2 install. I installed from usb to usb it took hours. But good news Clementine musicbrainz works well. My question is it possible somehow to intall Clementine 1 to Mageia 1?

no it does not, there's too many features to be pushed as updates. It should be pushed as backport.

This message is a reminder that Mageia 1 is nearing its end of life. In approximately 25 days from now, Mageia will stop maintaining and issuing updates for Mageia 1. At that time this bug will be closed as WONTFIX (EOL) if it remains open with a Mageia 'version' of '1'. Package Maintainer: If you wish for this bug to remain open because you plan to fix it in a currently maintained version, simply change the 'version' to a later Mageia version prior to Mageia 1's end of life. Bug Reporter: Thank you for reporting this issue and we are sorry that we may not be able to fix it before Mageia 1 is end of life. If you would still like to see this bug fixed and are able to reproduce it against a later version of Mageia, you are encouraged to click on "Version" and change it against that version of Mageia. Although we aim to fix as many bugs as possible during every release's lifetime, sometimes those efforts are overtaken by events. Often a more recent Mageia release includes newer upstream software that fixes bugs or makes them obsolete. -- Mageia Bugsquad
Mageia 1 changed to end-of-life (EOL) status on ''1st December''. Mageia 1 is no longer maintained, which means that it will not receive any further security or bug fix updates. As a result we are closing this bug. If you can reproduce this bug against a currently maintained version of Mageia please feel free to click on "Version" change it against that version of Mageia and reopen this bug. Thank you for reporting this bug and we are sorry it could not be fixed. -- Mageia Bugsquad
