Package updated for cauldron and Mageia 9. Advisory: ======================== The blue updates available icon presents usability problems for less experience users of the graphical mgaapplet. The original red icon is still present on the system. This update changes back to the red icon for better visibility. One user on the ML wanted the icon color changed back to red for better visiboility. Another user requested one color for updates, another for upgrades to a new release, to avoid confusion. The description sounds like the icon color is changed, but both notifications will still use the same color. Is this correct?

No. The normal update icon is exactly the same as it was before (a down arrow with an underline underneath) except in red. The upgrade icon has always been different than the updates icon in that it is a darker blue and just has a down arrow with no underline (yes, that distinction is rather minimal). I didn't know about the upgrade icon request so it would have remained unchanged anyway - but it sounds ok. To summarize... * the updates available icon is a down arrow pointing down to an underline and is now in red. The only change is from the blue background to red. * the upgrade icon is unchanged and is a bolder dark blue with just a down arrow (with no underline) You can view these icons on your machine if you enable previews and browse with Dolphin to... /usr/share/icons/hicolor/scalable/actions/ The old blue updates filename is mgaonline-updates.svg The new red updates filename is mgaonline-bugfix.svg The unchanged upgrade filename is mgaonline-bundle.svg I hope this clarifies.
Thank you. It does. Tested in an MGA9-64 VirtualBox Plasma guest that had pending updates. I used qarepo to download the mgaonline package and updated just that. Then I restarted the guest and waited for the update icon to show up. When it did, it was red. Looks OK here. Validating.
