Created attachment 14086 [details] hover text color in MCC When hovering over the right hand side menu of "Mageia Control Center" the text becomes black on a dark blue background and that, at least for me, is not readable. Changing the hover color to white or very light blue in /usr/share/mcc/themes/default/mcc.css (control-center.css in the source package) makes it more readable. Attached is a picture that shows two snapshots of MCC, one in bg with actual color vs the second in fg with "color: #2ab8ff;", which is lighter than Mageia's official light blue: #2397d4(for better contrast). "Local Disks"(bg) vs "Network Sharing"(fg). Regards.A.
Seems like a duplicate of bug 28497
You are right about the main issue, sorry I haven't spotted it before posting. However, to be thorough, I think that bug 28497 talks about the already selected menu item(first menu item on the left in their picture), while I'm complaining about un-selected menu items while the mouse hovers over them. The problems are similar anyhow, just different color settings. Crux of the problem is that the actual chosen colors are a really bad mix while the solution is banal. Black text on dark blue background not a fan. You may close it as duplicate and link it to the original.
I prefer to keep a separate report for this issue. For me the issue of bug 28497 (which was filed against Mga 8) isn't present in cauldron (which has the same MCC version and background as Mga 9), but the issue of this report is. Assigning to the mageia tools maintainers.
