Description of problem: I see that version 17.0.1 of llvm has just been released about a month ago. It might be good to update it.

Anybody interested in building it for Cauldron?
The majority of the newer releases of all the RPM based distributions are using 17.0.6, 17.0.1, 17, 17.0.0, 16.0.6, 16.0.1 and 15.0.7 according to https://pkgs.org/download/llvm
