Can't install rpm-build due to unfilled dependency on debgedit. Using urpmi to install rpm-build tells me that the rpm for debugedit doesn't exist. Which indeed an examination of the rpms in the distribution shows is true.
Thank you for the report. But it is unsure that debugedit is missing. On my Mageia 9 system (which admittedly started life as a Cauldron one, but Cauldron has now moved on), the package is present. Testing its availability & requirements: $ urpmq -i debugedit Name : debugedit Version : 5.0 Release : 5.mga9 Group : System/Packaging Size : 195466 Architecture: x86_64 Source RPM : debugedit-5.0-5.mga9.src.rpm URL : https://sourceware.org/debugedit/ Summary : Tools for debuginfo creation $ urpmq --requires rpm-build | grep debug debugedit[>= 0.3] $ urpmq --whatrequires debugedit rpm-build And looking at its maintenance log shows: Mar 30 2022 Mageia 9 Mass Rebuild (so it was part of making M9) and another entry for Feb 26 00:51:37 2023. So it really does look to be alive & well. Perhaps you have a mirror problem. I have had trouble in the last few days, and only got out of it by removing and re-introducing all media.

Closing as OLD, because nothing happened in this report since 9 months ago, most of cauldron has changed since then and no one confirmed this issue.
