From bug 31071#c34 __Description of problem: Our version 0.8.6. do not support the EXT4 orphan_file feature, which several currrent distros use - And probably a future Mageia - mga9 did for a period during cauldron. fsarchiver supports EXT4 orphan_file since 0.8.7 [1]. The support can be patched also to 0.8.6. -If there is any reason not to update? [1] https://github.com/fdupoux/fsarchiver/commit/478fa089521b76064d006dd7241dd0b1dc28d0d8
Assigning to registered maintainer cc Jani from referenced bug Note qt-fsarchiver bundles its own copy of fsarchiver, but even so requires fsarchiver, strange, bit for fsarchiver package i think we should not care about that.

Why two bugs for the same topic? Isn't this a dup of bug 32136 ?

(In reply to sturmvogel from comment #2) > Why two bugs for the same topic? Isn't this a dup of bug 32136 ? Because fsarchiver-qt seem to be hard to maintain and use a bundled fsarchiver anyway (and dep on fsarchiver package probably removed), I was thinking we should separate the two so fsarchiver could be updated using this bug.
OOPs *that bug* I did not see, numbered just before this Same track then :)
