Description Ken Zawa 2023-05-27 14:18:35 CEST
Description of problem:
Audio on this HP All-In-One 20-c020 is from one channel only, namely the right channel. The audio is specified by HP as Realtek ALC3252. Audio works perfectly in both channels with Windows 10, but so far no Linux distro or version will do audio in both channels, only the right channel. Mageia 8 USB did not boot this computer. All Ubuntu- and Debian- based distos give audio in one channel only. I performed thorough audio troubleshooting for Linux Mint Debian Edition, without success.
I originally believed this was a kernel issue, but since Mageia 9 Beta2 has same issue, I deduce that I may need a specific driver for this computer.
Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

Reaktek ALC3252
How reproducible:

Thank you for reporting, and the tests so far.

Assigning directly to kernel and driver maintainers as they best know what more data/testing to ask for.

Summary: Assuming I can boot from USB Mageia 9 x86_64 Xfce on this HP All-In-One 20-c020, Realtek ALC3252 audio is from one channel only (right channel) => Mageia 9 b2 x86_64 Xfce on this HP All-In-One 20-c020, Realtek ALC3252 audio is from one channel only (right channel)
