Description of problem: KDE Plasma fail to suspend or hibernate by timer Screen lock by timer works, and using the suspend or hibernation alternatives from the launch menu works correctly. Timer was working 2-3 weeks ago, for both suspend and hibernation. Then it stopped working. Possibly coinciding with me experimenting with selecting hybrid sleep, which did not work correctly, Bug 31895. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): Current cauldron How reproducible: Always (at least on this system, my reborn "svarten") Steps to Reproduce: 1. In Plasma settings, energy, set it to suspend in 1 minute. 2. Watch journal: at time of suspending, there comes two identical lines 5 seconds apart: org.kde.powerdevil: Unsatisfied policies, the action has been aborted Discussion start at https://ml.mageia.org/l/arc/qa-discuss/2023-05/msg00145.html
It works OK in a fresh created user :) - Also after having tried hybrid sleep and failing so it was probably not that that trigged the problem. But what made it stop working? Is it possible to make the message "Unsatisfied policies" more specific? Can someone suggest a settings file to remove or edit manually, to hunt down the problem? Note this is my production machine.
This should be tested with an upgrade mga8->9, when we are near release. I can try an old laptop running mga8 Plasma with working suspend-resume.
Summary: KDE Plasma fail to suspend or hibernate by timer (manual activation works) => KDE Plasma suspend and hibernate by timer stopped working (manual activation works, new user OK)
