Description of problem: Cannot select X11/Wayland for Plasma Version: lightdm-1.32.0-1 Steps to Reproduce: Install plasma, incl wayland components, use LightDM See the DE selection only contain one "Plasma" Compare to dropdown in SDDM which list "Plasma (X11)" and Plasma "(Wayland)" LightDM correctly show all different GNOME variants.
Assigning to registered packager While at it, I noticed that in the dropdown for selecting DE, shows a symbol represented the selected DE. For Gnome ther is the foot, for XFCEit shows "XF", but Plasmaand IceWM shows a tool symbol, I guess icons are missing for them (and maybe more)

The "Plasma" it lists is selecting the X11 variant
Summary: LightDM menu list only one Plasma, not X11/Wayland variants => LightDM menu list only one Plasma, which is X11, and not the also installed Wayland variant
It's because of bug 24269. https://svnweb.mageia.org/packages/cauldron/lightdm/current/SOURCES/lightdm-settings.conf?revision=1362828&view=markup You can test to modify /etc/lightdm/lightdm.conf.d/49-mageia.conf to include: sessions-directory=/usr/share/xsessions:/usr/share/wayland-sessions
