The "draknetcenter" program crashed. Drakbug-18.45 caught it. Just clicked the setup button for an entry in the list of network interfaces of the network center. The entry happens to be an USB DVB receiver. Bad symbol for filehandle at /usr/lib/libDrakX/network/connection/dvb.pm line 33. Perl's trace: drakbug::bug_handler() called from /usr/share/perl5/vendor_perl/Gtk3.pm:538 Gtk3::__ANON__() called from /usr/lib/libDrakX/mygtk3.pm:1550 mygtk3::main() called from /usr/lib/libDrakX/ugtk3.pm:857 ugtk3::main() called from /usr/lib/libDrakX/network/netcenter.pm:212 network::netcenter::main() called from /usr/libexec/draknetcenter:30 Theme name: Adwaita Kernel version = 5.15.98-desktop-1.mga8 Distribution=Mageia release 8 (Official) for x86_64 CPU=Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-10700K CPU @ 3.80GHz How reproducible: Every time I click the Setup button of that entry (not in other entries). Steps to reproduce: Open Network Center, select that entry, click Setup.
Thank you for the report. It is signifcant that the error is reproduceable, and confined to the one entry. Can you say when this started to happen? Is the USB DVB receiver a new device? To give some hardware information, please post the output of: $ inxi -inJ

Yesterday was the first time ever I've noticed this bug. The device is not new, but I had not tried and open it in the network center before. The output is: bash-5.1$ inxi -inJ Network: Device-1: Realtek RTL8111/8168/8411 PCI Express Gigabit Ethernet driver: r8169 IF: enp3s0 state: up speed: 1000 Mbps duplex: full mac: fc:34:97:15:83:43 IP v4: 192.168.1.41/24 type: dynamic noprefixroute scope: global IP v6: fe80::fe34:97ff:fe15:8343/64 scope: link Device-2: Philips (or NXP) PTA01 Wireless Adapter type: USB driver: ath9k_htc IF: wlp0s20f0u10 state: down mac: d0:ae:ec:00:e1:27 WAN IP: 81.34.174.56 USB: Hub: 1-0:1 info: Full speed (or root) Hub ports: 12 rev: 2.0 Hub: 1-1:2 info: Genesys Logic Hub ports: 4 rev: 2.1 Device-1: 1-1.1:4 info: Logitech Unifying Receiver type: Keyboard,Mouse,HID rev: 2.0 Device-2: 1-1.2:6 info: Logitech [G533 Wireless Headset Dongle] type: Audio,HID rev: 1.1 Device-3: 1-1.3:9 info: Logitech HD Pro Webcam C920 type: Video,Audio rev: 2.0 Hub: 1-3:3 info: NEC HighSpeed Hub ports: 4 rev: 2.0 Device-1: 1-3.2:7 info: AVerMedia AVerTV DVB-T (A800) type: <vendor specific> rev: 2.0 Device-2: 1-4:5 info: Dell KB212-B Quiet Key Keyboard type: Keyboard rev: 1.1 Device-3: 1-5:8 info: American Power Conversion Uninterruptible Power Supply type: HID rev: 1.1 Device-4: 1-8:10 info: ASUSTek ASUS USB-BT500 type: Bluetooth rev: 1.1 Device-5: 1-10:11 info: Philips (or NXP) PTA01 Wireless Adapter type: Network rev: 2.0 Hub: 2-0:1 info: Full speed (or root) Hub ports: 8 rev: 3.0 Hub: 2-1:2 info: Genesys Logic USB3.1 Hub ports: 4 rev: 3.2
Thanks for that info. I guess it is "AVerMedia AVerTV DVB-T (A800)" we are talking about. Sorry not to have thought of this before, but can you also post a screenshot of the Network Centre window from which the error happens? To give a visible start point.
Created attachment 13763 [details] Screenshot - Network Center Screenshot of the Network Center where it all starts.
Yes, the AVerMedia AVerTV DVB-T (A800) decoder is the troublemaker.
Thank you for that picture. It makes the context clear. Assigning to Mageiatools for drakx-net.
