In Mageia beta 9 with KDE Plasma, if we go to,

System Settings -> Display and monitor -> Night Color

And if one selects,

Switching times: Sunset and sunrise at current location

It gets stuck indefinitely at,

Locating...

According to my understanding KDE Plasma uses NetworkManager & networkmanager-qt to determine the location and these two packages are not installed as dependencies in Mageia beta 9 and hence the automatic location detection capabilities of KDE Plasma Night Light applet are broken.
