Description of problem:
I tried the Fedora Rawhide RPM package which seemed to work !!  Would be great to get an original Mageia package eventually!

The given URL is essential & very informative about this: there is a lot of good user information there.
It also shows that this is available in most major Linux distros, and more. 
Given Mageia 9 version freeze, I doubt it can be included immediately if taken on board.

Assigning this package request to all packagers collectively. On a voluntary basis, one of them might, if there are no license or other legal issues, want to integrate it to the distribution and maintain it for bug and security fixes.
